Getting startedWhat to expect when you first see an adviserYou do the talking and the adviser does the listening. The whole idea is to find out how we can help you. Any fee payable will be clearly advised to you before you make your appointment. Regardless of which of our advisers you choose, there is absolutely no obligation to take things any further. At your first meeting, you adviser will clearly explain to you what's involved if you do decide to go ahead and what you can expect to pay. Our policy is to be completely transparent about fees and payments. If you decide to go ahead, your adviser will send you a letter of engagement confirming the full details of the services to be provided. What happens nextThe next step is to develop a strategy to suit your particular situation and goals. Advisers draw on their own experience as well as the research and technical resources of the RI Advice Group to develop a range of strategies and then identify which is the best for you. The strategy we recommend will be presented to you in a written Statement of Advice. From then on it's a case of implementing your strategy - then reviewing it regularly, and adapting it as things change over the years ahead.
